Reflecting Upon Seasonal Merriment

Working as part of Oxford City Council’s Culture Team, my pal, Ian Nolan, has had a video made of Oxford’s Christmas Light Festival 2013 … and here it is, truly heart-warming!

I feel positively proud to have played a part in contributing towards the festivities through co-curating (with the fabulous Cat Kelly of Folk Weekend Oxford and Folk Arts Oxford) and coordinating Oxford Folk LiveFriday at the Ashmolean on Christmas Light Night (the night when the city’s lights were switched on, and people paraded through the streets with Narnia inspired lanterns, amongst many other magical things!).

Another one of my favourite videos from the night is a slightly less polished, but equally heartwarming, one of musician James Bell & The Half Moon All Stars playing in the Ashmolean’s Mallet Gallery – take a look…

Seeing Oxford in a Different Light

These photos were on display in the Shop at the Old Fire Station and as part of a Pop-Up exhibition at the Ashmolean (part of Exposed LiveFriday). They are double-exposure images taken using a single roll of medium format analogue film (12 shots), and aimed to capture the eclectic nature that makes up the city of Oxford – literally, using the camera to capture Oxford in a Different Light.
