Portfolio

On the drop-down pages under the Portfolio tab you’ll find some of the work that Sarah Mayhew Craddock has made either in a studio, a pop-up exhibition space, or in a gallery…

Sarah is a fine artist who, predominately, makes installations. Whilst her work often has a socio-political context it is, ultimately, concerned with the psychology of space, the way in which people move around space, consciously or otherwise, and view one another, and themselves within that space. She is interested in pathways, direction, the decision-making process, and perception.

Sarah’s work is not media specific, but generally takes the form of large-scale, physical installations that require the viewer to enter into an experience. Frequently juxtaposing natural and man-made objects and materials Sarah calls their qualities, and the viewer’s relationship with those qualities, into question.

Like a cyber-sketchbook, sarah’s Musings page is a place for ideas, and snapshots of possibilities that might end up on one of the gallery pages one day, in some shape or form…
